American Hero Run

The American Hero Run - 5K, 10K & 1 Mile Fun Run is a family event, with fun for all ages! After the event, join us at the Five Star Complex for Fireworks show, Concert, Car Show and Carnival! Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to register!

Join us for the 7th Annual American Hero Run and Honor Veterans on Veterans weekend! We have lots of fun planned for you in lovely The Colony.

Register 4 or more at one time and $5 will be deducted from each entry!

Awards

We will have American Hero Run Awards in both distances for the top male and female overall and masters finisher.

The 10k age groups are: 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.

The 5k age groups are: 6 & under, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.

Timing

The timing chip will be in your bib number at the American Heroes 5k & 10k. No need to attach anything to your shoe. Put your bib on and you are good to go. This is the latest and greatest technology in race timing. Age group awards will be based on chip time. Overall awards will be based on gun time. There will be no timing for the 1-Mile Fun Run.

Packet Pickup

Friday, November 8 from 12Noon to 6pm at The Colony Recreation Center, 5151 N Colony Blvd. You may also get your packet on race day.

From Highway 121

The Exit for Main St/Josey will be closed, so take the exit prior.

If you are coming from the West, exit Standbridge. If you are coming from the East, exit Paige Rd.
Then take a left on FM 423 / Main Street (Josey) North approximately 2 miles.
Take a left at North Colony Blvd. You will pass South Colony Blvd.
Take North Colony Blvd. approximately 1.5 miles into Stewart Creek Park. North Colony Blvd. becomes Sparks Road when you enter the park.

Parking

There will be plenty of parking near the event.

Reminder: The park will close to any oncoming traffic starting at 7:45AM.
